I am going to have to be careful not to compare this book to her first novel ‘Girl on The train’. But I prefer ‘Girl on the Train’. I was very excited when I saw that her second book has come out and bought it straight away. But I found it hard going. Her chapters are split up into characters names. So I found it very confusing and when at the end of part one, almost half way through the book a character named Helen turns up, I had to flick back through the whole book only to see that she wasn’t mentioned before. I found it difficult to get into the story. It didn’t get interesting until part two, where the secret about Neil Abbot’s death becomes more exciting and there are quite a few suspects and the suspense heightens. It took me much longer than anticipated to finish this book, as I had to go back a few times to check what a certain character was up to last. I really don’t like the chapter style, but that is just personal taste.
If you have read this book too why not comment below. Maybe you have another point of view and would like to share it.
I haven’t read it. I am in love with the “Girl on the train” tooo! I don’t like books that make me do so much work!
